At our local coffee roastery in Co.Wicklow, we small batch roast this well balanced coffee that we have sourced from Ethiopia. This coffee works well with Sage coffee machines but also is a good option to brew as a filter coffee. We have found this single origin coffee works well with milk or simply as a black coffee.

Sidamo, located in the southern part of Ethiopia, is the country's most famous coffee region. This region benefits from the best conditions for growing coffee, resulting in elegant, floral, and mild coffees.

Due to the presence of multiple cooperatives, washing stations, and different growing conditions in the same area, the cup profile can vary from one place to another. Nevertheless, Sidamo coffee remains one of the most sought-after coffees worldwide.

At an altitude of approximately 1500 m.a.s.l., the coffee grows under the shade of mountain trees. Like all Ethiopian coffees, Sidamo coffee is a regional type and trademarked by the country itself.

This coffee reminds us of: Pomegranate, mandarin and roses.
